Co-operative Values

As a Co-operative MAT, we have adopted the following Co-operative Values within our schools:

Our Co-operative Values

  • Self-help
Encouraging all within the organisation to help each other, by working together to gain mutual benefits. This is incorporated into our peer support and mentoring programmes.
  • Self-responsibility
To take responsibility for, and answer to, our actions.  This is incorporated into our Personal Responsibility programme.
  • Democracy
To give our stakeholders a say in the way we run our school, through the school council, stakeholder forums, Parent Association.
  • Equality
Equal rights and benefits according to their contribution.
  • Equity
    Being fair and unbiased.
  • Solidarity
Supporting each other and those in other co-operatives.

Our Ethical Values

Consistent with the values of the founders of the Co-operative Movement, we believe in the ethical values of:

  • Openness
  • Honesty
  • Social responsibility
  • Caring for others

In our schools we ensure these values are reflected in our curriculum and in particular are discussed and promoted with staff and students.
