Become a teacher by training through a School-led route with Chorlton High School and MTSA.

Who are MTSA?
Manchester Teaching School Alliance is led by two designated teaching schools: Chorlton Park and Brookburn Primary School. The alliance brings together primary and secondary schools across South Manchester, and works in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University. Chorlton High School leads on the Initial Teacher Training provision for the alliance. All MTSA members work together, to provide a high-quality teacher-training experience for primary and secondary Associate Teachers.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit Associate Teachers who are dedicated to pursuing success for children across Manchester. Our Associate Teachers are lifelong learners who want to fulfil their potential both in the classroom and in their professional development.
Our current trainees all have varied backgrounds: some have previously been employed as Teaching Assistants in a school before coming to train; others came straight from university; and others are career-changers who had worked in another field before training to teach. Previously, we have had applicants who were; mature students; those who have worked overseas; parents with families and from candidates who were relocating to the Manchester area.
How many School Direct secondary places are available?
For the academic year we are hoping to recruit Associate Teachers in all curriculum areas.
