Image of Cross country success!

Our school Cross Country Teams recently took part in a series of regional finals for the ESAA Cross Country Cup 2017.

The English Schools' Athletic Association (ESAA) has organised this competition as part of a wider series of athletic championships, used to promote physical and moral development of students.

During the finals, our Year 9 and 10 boys team competed against various teams from Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria, Merseyside and even a school from Scotland. They finished 3rd overall for the Northwest region and have qualified for the Cup Final in Sevenoaks, Kent on Saturday 25th November.

Our 7 and 8 girls team just missed out on qualification, finishing 4th and our Year 7 and 8 boys team finished a commendable 7th.

Congratulations to all our competing students for their effort and hard work in training and during competition.
We wish our Year 9 and 10 boys team every success when taking part in the ESSA Cross Country Cup Final 2017.
