We are well aware that the summer holiday can put a strain on families to provide activities and additional meals for children during their break from school. The attached ‘Beyond The Classroom’ booklet below signposts activities and places to visit that you may find useful during the break. In addition to this we have also provided below, a list of website links to free events that are being held in Manchester during the summer months.
If you are worried about how you will provide meals for your children over the holidays do please get in touch with us, we are able to support with food bank vouchers for the holiday period. This can be done confidentially, by calling the school, using the number 0161 882 1150, please ask for Mandy Roberts or Sarah Penrose. Please do not struggle alone, if you are in employment or not, this support is available for anyone who needs it.
Or if you are a family who is in a position to support families who are struggling, please consider donating to your local food bank who can support families in our community. You will have seen on our social media posts that our school supports Barakah Food Aid who provide food parcels to people who are struggling in and around Manchester. Between now and the end of term we will also be collecting donations at school for Barakah Food Aid. Parents and students may donate by dropping off any food or domestic items at our main reception.
