Image of Changing Faces

Our Blue Box Theatre has been a hive of creativity recently. Students have taken every opportunity to sing, dance, laugh and smile together.

National Theatre provided incredible creative inspiration, visiting our school for two amazing performances of 'Jekyll & Hyde'. Evan Placey's stunning new adaptation set in both Victorian England and the present day, radically re-imagines this classic tale. It explores the repression of female voices and centres around two new protagonists, Hattie, Jekyll's widow, and Flossie, a young blogger in the 21st century.

Our students were mesmerised throughout, and left utterly blown away by these performances and the power of theatre in action.

Students prove #ArtsMatter

Following on from the National Theatre, our GCSE Drama students completed the scripted exam. Despite setbacks, changes to their learning and classroom disruption, they 'Absolutely SMASHED it!', delivering an unbelievable showcase of pure talent.

Team Drama, and our school, are so proud of the resiliency, optimism and creative motivation our students have shown, very well done!.
