Fifteen of our talented students entered some beautifully creative book themed cakes for our first ever Chorlton High School Great Book Bake off.
The competition was AMAZING, with each superb cake celebrating a book as well as each bakers hard work and effort. Prue Leith for the day, Ms Mabbott (food) Technology teacher, tasted and expertly judged the bakes as they were each brought forward from our bakers work stations.
After a very tense wait the winner was announced at the end of the day. Rosie and her brilliant Alice in Wonderland cake took top spot, with Sophie running a close second with her beautiful Charlie and the Chocolate Factory cake. Runners up included a fantastic Good and Evil cake made by duo Leila and Llucia, and Evelyn's stunning Dork Diaries cake.
Our huge congratulations to all our incredible entrants.
We absolutely can not wait until the next delicious round of Great Book Bake off!
