Following the half-term break on Monday 22nd February, Year 11 will be starting their Spring Assessments. The purpose of these assessments is to allow us to effectively evidence all of the hard work and immense effort that Year 11 have put into their learning both in school over the Autumn term and also remotely over the past 6 weeks. Students have been issued with detailed revision lists to support their preparation for assessments and have been directed to materials on MS teams by individual class teachers. A copy of the revision information is also shown below.
The Spring Assessments will all be completed online as per the timetable below. Students will be issued a timed assignment during the assessment slot which they should complete and then return to the teacher. A short video outlining how this will look for students can be viewed below.
When students are completing their assessments, we have advised them that they need to be in a quiet space ideally with no other distractions and as per usual assessment protocol, away from their mobile phones. There will be no live lessons for Year 11 during the Assessment week and when they are not completing their assessments, they will be expected to carry out independent study and to take a break from their screens where possible.
If you or your child have any concerns specifically relating to the Spring Assessments, please contact Alice Girault or Jamila Sarwar. We understand that it is a new process for students completing online assessments but support will be in place for every exam to overcome any technical issues which may arise.
