Battle of the Bands

Battle of the Bands returns, for the first time since 2019!

It was an incredible evening featuring outstanding performances from 7 bands, representing all Year groups all supported magnificently by an enthusiastic audience made up of enthusiastic parents and students.

This year’s winners were the Year 10 band “Down the 85”.

They scooped the prize with a phenomenal rendition of Nina Simone’s “Feelin’ Good.”

For many professional bands a competition like this is where it all begins. Staff from the Music Department said, “It is these events that remind us what our job is all about, we are so proud of our students.”  Everyone who attended was impressed by the skill and passion of all the bands who took part.
