We were incredibly honoured to welcome 3 extra special and inspirational guests to Chorlton High – The Premier League, Champions League and Emirates FA Cup trophies!
Arriving with a team of security handlers, each cup was removed from its protective packaging and adorned in the blue and white of Manchester City (the triple winning and current holders of all 3 cups).
Small groups from across all Year groups arrived throughout the afternoon for a chance to see and selfie with the silverware. After a short presentation focusing on motivation and resilience during challenges, enthusiastic students took the chance to enjoy a small sense of what players, managers and coaching staff felt upon winning them!
The event was arranged by ‘City in the Community’ who work through various initiatives, to support communities to use ‘the power of football to empower young people in Manchester and all around the world, helping them to lead healthier lives.
