It is open to all young people (aged 11-18) in the UK, and powered by the British Youth Council. ‘Make Your Mark’ is the largest youth consultation across the UK. It gives an invaluable opportunity for young people to have their say on what issues are most important to them. Voters are provided a list of topics (10 this year) and asked to make a single choice of which issue they would like to highlight and affect. Over 434, 492 votes were cast in 2022, last time a ballot of this nature was run, the top three topics chosen were: Health and Wellbeing, Jobs, Money, Homes and Opportunities, Education and Learning. The national campaign: ‘FOOD FOR LEARNING’ was developed to acknowledge the strength of feeling towards supporting those in food poverty within the UK.

Our Student Councillors canvased 'Make Your Mark' opinion during Registration, collating their tally sheets before reflecting on both the process and each Year groups responses. We look forward to hearing what our students have decided.
