Getting Ready for Year 7 at CHS: Building a Community of Belonging

Starting Year 7 at Chorlton High School is more than just a new school year—it’s the beginning of belonging.

We know that the move to secondary school is a big moment for families. That’s why our transition programme is designed to welcome every child—and every parent—into our vibrant, inclusive community. At CHS, we believe that strong partnerships with families are the foundation of student success. From Year 5 onwards, we offer a rich programme of events and communications that help every child feel confident, connected, and ready to thrive.

You Belong Here Too

Whether it’s through performances, parent forums, or informal chats at events, we want every parent to feel part of our school.
We’re proud to offer targeted support if this is required and we’re always looking for ways to deepen our partnership with families.

Together, we build a community where every child—and every parent—belongs.
