Welcome to the Year 11 parent information hub.

This is a vital final year of secondary education, culminating in GCSE examinations and planning for post-16 pathways. Our focus is on supporting every Year 11 student to achieve their full potential through dedicated revision, targeted support, and effective exam preparation. We also provide extensive guidance on applications for college, sixth form, or apprenticeships.

Year 11: Achievement and Next Steps

  • Maximising Potential: Focusing intensely on achieving the best possible outcomes in GCSE/BTEC examinations.
  • Effective Revision and Exam Preparation: Implementing structured revision plans and mastering exam techniques.
  • Wellbeing and Resilience: Managing the pressures of the final exam year while maintaining wellbeing.
  • Post-16 Transitions: Successfully completing applications and preparing for the move to college, sixth form, or apprenticeships.
  • Celebration and Completion: Acknowledging and celebrating the culmination of five years of secondary education.

Our Chorlton High uniform unites everyone, building a strong sense of belonging that helps every student feel connected as a vital part of our school community.

Headers Year groups (2)

School Uniform:

  • White buttoned shirt tucked in at all times.
  • Black, full length school trousers (We do not accept chinos, jeans, Jean material, skinny jeans or leggings) or
  • CHS logo branded skirt. (Two styles available to choose from. Please note skirt's length should be a maximum of 2” above the knee or 4” below the knee.)
  • Plain black shoes or all black trainers (No white or coloured soles/rim/logos).
  • Plain black socks/plain black opaque tights.
  • Blazer with embroidered CHS logo - This is compulsory for Year 7-9 and optional for Years 10 and 11.
  • Black jumper/cardigan with our embroidered CHS logo. This is compulsory for Years 10 and 11 if they choose not to wear a blazer and optional for students in Years 7-9.

PE Kit:

  • T-shirt - black with embroidered CHS logo.
  • Shorts - black shorts with CHS embroidered logo or 
  • Jogging pants - black with CHS embroidered logo.
  • Socks - black football socks.
  • Sports top/Training top - black with CHS embroidered logo - Please note that these items are not compulsory.
