Year 8 Raise Mental Health Awareness with Powerful Play.
A dedicated team of Year 8 students embarked on a creative collaboration to produce and perform a powerful play about mental health.
From the initial rehearsals to the final curtain, these students worked together, pooling their talents and perspectives to bring 'Trust Me' to life. Hattie 8TK skilfully crafted the narrative, which followed the lives of Daisy and Oliver as they navigated the relatable challenges of starting Year 7. But 'Trust Me' was more than just Hattie's vision.
Students took on the roles of performers, directors, and stage managers as they worked together to bring 'Trust Me' to life. Their collaborative spirit was wonderful to experience, with students supporting each other on stage and backstage, ensuring a memorable and impactful production.
The play resonated deeply with the audience and helped to raise over £300 for 42nd Street, a vital support and advice service for young people's emotional health and wellbeing.
Our huge thanks to this Year 8 creative team for embodying the power of collaboration and their collective commitment to raising awareness about mental health.
