Chorlton High Shines At Chorlton Arts Festival!
Chorlton High School was delighted to participate once again in the vibrant Chorlton Arts Festival, celebrating the incredible artistic talent and creativity within our school community. This annual festival provides a fantastic platform for our students to showcase their hard work and engage with the wider local arts scene. We are incredibly proud of all our students and staff who contributed their time and talent to make our presence at the festival a wonderful success.
Chorlton High School's Year 7 students recently embarked on a thought-provoking journey as they participated in the Spirited Arts project, an initiative run by NATRE (National Association of Teachers of Religious Education). This exciting annual competition encourages students to explore profound themes and express their understanding through creative expression.
The Spirited Arts project invites young people aged 4-19 to engage with big questions surrounding religion, belief, and meaning. With themes like "Art in Heaven," "Where is God?," and "Life's Big Questions," the project provides a unique platform for students to reflect on their own beliefs and interpretations. Students are encouraged to use a variety of artistic mediums, from painting and sculpture to poetry and photography, to convey their ideas.
Our Year 7 students embraced this opportunity with enthusiasm, producing a range of insightful and imaginative artworks. Their participation not only honed their artistic skills but also fostered deeper critical thinking and personal reflection on important spiritual concepts.
Outstanding work, Year 7!
