We recently welcomed Year 5 students from local primary schools for our annual Shakespeare adaptation, offering a thrilling taste of secondary school life and a deep dive into classic theatre. This year, the stage was set for a dramatic performance of "Richard III," bringing Shakespeare's historical play to life for our young visitors.
The transition experience, produced by our wonderful Ms Jordan, enables primary students to engage in a unique opportunity to explore complex narratives and enjoy the power of live performance in our school environment. Year 5 students are encouraged to interact with the story and its myriad of characters, sparking their imaginations and introducing them to the exciting world of drama at Chorlton High.
This annual adaptation is a key part of our transition program, it helps to build excitement, friendships and familiarity with our school community before students even arrive.
