Soca Shine At The Best Of Manchester Awards 2026

Out of over 900 nominations, the Students of Colour Association (SOCA) was officially named a South Manchester finalist at the inaugural Best of Manchester Awards!

Bringing Communities Together

Recognised in the 'Bringing Communities Together' category, SOCA was honoured for building bridges and creating a stronger sense of belonging. Through their cultural celebrations, our students have demonstrated incredible Empathy and Responsibility.

The grand finale at The Midland

Accompanied by a very proud Ms Miller, our students attended the spectacular final ceremony at the iconic Midland Hotel yesterday evening. We want to extend a massive congratulations to the overall category winners, Levenshulme Old Library, and our fellow finalists, Higher Blackley Community Centre.

A huge well done to our SOCA students, and a special thank you to Ms Miller for championing them every step of the way!
